Is Judaism A False Religion?
Issue
In ancient times, Judaism may have been a religion that was in accordance with God's Will, however, when Jesus was sent to mankind to deliver his message, Judaism became a false religion.
Jesus The Messiah
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked
his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”
They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and
still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the
living God.”
Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this
was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father
in heaven …”
Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the
Messiah.
Matthew 16:13-20
This passage indicates that Jesus is the Messiah, in plain language, without any ambiguity or confusion over its meaning. To believe in the truthfulness of the Bible's writings but then say that the above is false, is the equivalent of saying that Jesus had lied to imply that he was something that he was not. Jesus cannot be a messenger of God and bring false testimony at the same time. A prophet would not lie or attempt to deceive others in this manner.
Spiritual Evolution
Some Jews may accept that Jesus was a prophet, but then ignore what he had said in order to support their views that he wasn't the Messiah.
One cannot pick and choose what is valid in the Bible for the purpose of satisfying one's opinion. That would be like saying that the Ten Commandments should be reduced to just five in order to fit one's particular lifestyle. It doesn't work that way and yet, that is exactly what the Jews are doing by ignoring the above passage and saying that Jesus wasn't the Messiah.
Some may feel that Jesus cannot be the Savior because there isn't everlasting peace on earth, but that is due to mankind not truthfully following Jesus' advice. Blame mankind, not Jesus, for the lack of peace on earth.
Even after considering this, some Jews may feel that they cannot accept Jesus as the Messiah. However, this kind of mentality of not accepting a prophet of God has occurred in the past. Pharaoh had said as much to Moses in that whatever God was doing, was not good enough for him to accept. Look at what happened to Egypt as a result (i.e. ten plagues).
By rejecting Jesus as the Messiah, the Jews of today are being no different than those who had persecuted Christ two thousand years ago. For they are repeating their same mistake.
With the advent of Christianity, Judaism became a false religion. Every day that they don't accept Jesus is the equivalent of placing the crown of thorns upon his head themselves. In that, they are mocking him, and that he is not good enough for them.
What needs to be considered in all of this is that the progression of Judaism into Christianity is an intended and planned succession by God.
Mankind does not have infinite wisdom, nor are we all knowledgeable, so we should expect additional evolutionary changes in our lives in this respect. In other words, God may improve upon previous doctrine if He so chooses in that it will advance our spiritual development into the future.
